Miles to go...

I have miles to go... please pray each day for the next leg of my Biblical journey!

Who Am I?

I'm a wife, a mother, a grandmother.
I'll tell ya more below the video, but you should really listen to the song.

On July 21, 2009, I laid down my pack of cigarettes and never touched them again. I had smoked more than 2 packs a day for more than 30 years. I give God t he credit for delivering me from that death trap, and every year, to commemorate the anniversary, I begin a 90 day journey through the Bible. The first year, I journaled through it on Facebook, using the S.O.A.P. format. The second year, my journey was chronological, and I did not take notes. This year, as I blog my way through in a more casual format, I'll also post the "soaps" from 2010 for each corresponding day.

I have two other blogs... One is called Memoir Boulevard, and it is private, shared only with my children. It occurred to me one day that people tend to know the characters of a fictional novel, or of a television drama, more intimately than they know their own family.  I want my children and theirs to know me as a person, not just as "Mom" or "Grandma".

My other blog is actually a blog-driven storfront, where I share the jewelry I've created. Once in a while, I even sell a piece. I call my store/blog "Earth Psalts". The P is silent, just as the P in Psalms is inaudible. Christians are the salt of the earth, and I wanted my work to bring honor to His name.

  2. thanks dave!

s.o.a.p. is a method of journaling that breaks it down into four segments... scripture, observation, application, and prayer. it's a pretty effective way of taking notes on what you read, because it forces you to try and learn a lesson from somebody else's experience.
